Subj:    Letter of Commendation

1.  You are hereby commended for your outstanding performance of duty in connection with the removal and successful replacement of the crankshaft in RATON's #2 main engine.

2.  Through your effort you contributed to the success of a difficult project originally considered not feasable for Forces Afloat.  The job was completed in a record time of less than three weeks at a savings of $30,000 to the Navy.

3.  By your devotion to duty and long hours of hard, grueling work, you materially contributed to the Material Readiness of RATON and the Submarine Force.  Your actions are in keeping with the highest traditions of the Naval Service.  WELL DONE!
